How to Make and Cancel an Appointment

Over the coming months you will notice your receptionist begin to ask for a brief outline of your problem when you ring to book an appointment.
This is because we are introducing something called “Care Navigation”. It means we are training receptionists and clerical staff to help them help patients by identifying the most appropriate place for their care.
Through this specialist training, our practice team will be able to direct you to the most appropriate health clinician for your needs first.
Receptionists will never offer clinical advice or triage; this new way of working is about offering you the choice to see more appropriate professionals in the practice team or even somewhere else. Book face-to-face or remote appointments with your GP, nurse or clinician at a time that suits you.
Your details and information are protected by the highest standards of online security, so all you need to worry about is what to do with the spare time you’ve earnt.
All appointments booked with a GP or our paramedic will be telephone consultations. You may then be asked to make a face to face appointment once patients have had their initial consultation.
Problems booking online appointments?
Use the Patient Access Support Centre before you call us.
During the current pandemic we are offering telephone consultations only with a GP or our paramedic. Each case will be assessed during the telephone consultation, you may then be offered a face to face appointment with either a GP or our Paramedic.
Contact the surgery during working hours, either in person or by telephoning, to make an appointment.
You are free to make an appointment with the doctor of your choice, but if you ask to see a specific doctor you may have to wait a few days. We would however ask that patients remain with the same doctor for a specific problem until it has resolved or come to its natural conclusion. We would ask, that when booking GP appointments patients keep it for one problem or issue.
Same day appointment surgeries
Same day appointment clinics run on Monday/Tuesday/Friday these are for on the day booking commencing at 08:00am.
The Clinic times are as follows:
|Monday||12pm - 4.40pm|
|Tuesday||9pm - 4.20pm|
12.30pm - 4.50pm
12.30pm - 5pm
Please note for all the above clinics you will now need to call from 08:00am on the day. You can also book Same Day appointments on-line via Patient Access.
We will also be increasing the number of on the day urgent appointments available Monday - Friday.
