Prescription Delays Due to System Issues
We are currently experiencing ongoing system issues in our Dispensary which are unfortunately causing delays in processing prescriptions. We understand how frustrating this can be, and we want to reassure you that our team is working tirelessly to resolve these problems and dispense medications as quickly, but most importantly, as safely, as possible.
At present, we are operating on a 5 working day turnaround for prescription requests. Please do not come in before this time, as your prescription will not be ready. If you submit a request after 1pm, the 5 working days start from the next day.
Due to these system issues, some prescriptions are still being lost within the system. If this happens to yours, please know that we are doing everything we can to identify and rectify the issue as quickly as possible.
Please note: prescription requests are NOT automatic. You must request them each time, whether by:
- Ticking the boxes and handing in your repeat slip when you collect your medication
- Using the NHS App
- Dropping your request into the repeat box outside our front door
To help speed things up, we can electronically send your prescription to the NHS Spine if you request this with us. This allows any pharmacy of your choice to download your prescription, just provide them with your name and NHS number. If you are travelling or need medication urgently, this may be a quicker way to receive your prescription.
