Further information
Between 1pm to 2pm, our reception has quiet hours to allow them to catch up with administration tasks. We would appreciate it if you are able to come back at 2pm however if you do need to speak to reception, knock loudly or call us on 01622 814380
- The telephone lines will be diverted to the out of hours service at 6:30pm every day
- The dispensary will be closed between 1pm to 2pm

Improved Access Appointments
You can now see a GP or other healthcare professional during:
- Weekday evenings between 6.30pm and 8pm (some practices offer early morning appointments)
- Saturdays
- NEW: Additional Tuesday appointments with a GP from our Primary Care Network (PCN)
These appointments may take place:
- At your registered practice
- At another local GP practice
- At another local NHS service, such as a General Practice Hub
What type of appointments will be available?
New Tuesday PCN GP Service
Extra appointments every Tuesday with a GP from our PCN for new, non‑complex, short‑term issues. These include a mix of telephone and face‑to‑face appointments. F2F appointments will be held at Old Parsonage Surgery, Goudhurst.
Weekday Evening Appointments (Monday–Friday)
Evening appointments between 6.30pm and 8pm are telephone appointments, offered by a practice in your local area. Some practices may also offer early morning appointments.
Saturday Appointments
Saturday appointments are available between 8am and 12pm and may take place at one of the following locations:
- Old Parsonage Surgery, Goudhurst — with a GP from within our PCN
- The Vine Medical Centre
- Rusthall Medical Centre
Who can book these appointments?
Improved Access appointments are available for all patients in West Kent, regardless of which practice they are registered with. This means you can be seen by a clinical professional 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
You may not see your usual GP, and you may need to attend a different surgery.
How can I book an appointment?
To book any of these appointments, please contact your surgery reception team in the usual way.
Please note: reception staff cannot take calls on Saturdays and Sundays, Bank Holidays, or between 6.30pm and 8am Monday to Friday.
Sevenoaks urgent treatment centre
Sevenoaks Urgent Treatment Centre, based at Sevenoaks Hospital is open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and has two GPs stationed there throughout the day.
The service is suitable for patients for same day appointments that cannot wait 24 hours to be seen.
Patients can be seen by a GP in the UTC either by obtaining an appointment through NHS 111 by asking for a booked appointment, or alternatively signposted to attend as a walk-in.
Life threatening
Call 999 or go to A&E now if:
- you or someone you know needs immediate help
- you have seriously harmed yourself – for example, by taking a drug overdose
A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.
Urgent but not life threatening
Visit an urgent care centre if:
- You have an urgent medical issue requiring on the day attention
Non-urgent
Use NHS 111 if:
- You need help now, but it’s not an emergency
There will be someone to provide you with advice and to direct you to a clinician if it is necessary.
