Medication Collection Updates

From 1st January 2026, Yalding Surgery will no longer be sending text messages to patients to confirm when medication is ready to collect.

We understand this is a change from the current system, but it has become necessary due to ongoing issues with mobile signal in the area. Many patients have reported not receiving texts, even though we can see they were sent successfully. This has caused confusion and delays in collecting prescriptions. To provide a simpler and more reliable service, we are moving to a clear, time‑based system.

How the new system works

• Medication will be ready 5 working days after your request.
• If your request is submitted after 1pm, please allow an extra day before collection.
• Working days do not include weekends or bank holidays.
• You no longer need to wait for a text message – simply come in after the 5‑day period to collect your medication.

We encourage all patients to order and collect medication in good time, especially around busy periods such as bank holidays.
